1. How much does it cost to hire a professional grant writer?
Our initial 30-minute consultation is $50. The average retainer rate for an experienced grant writer is $1500 ours is $500. Thereafter you may be better served by allowing our firm to help with an option of a complete consulting package rather than an hourly rate. The average hourly rate is $75 to $150 hour. Our hourly rate is $60-$100 hour.
We have discounted packages with a monthly and quarterly payment plan. Contact us to see what your needs may be.
2. How long does it typically take to write a grant?
The number of hours it takes to write a grant will vary based on the type of application, its requirements, and the degree to which the organization is grant ready. Many small grants can be written in less than 4 hours. Foundation Grants are estimated to take up to 20+ hours, while government grants can take 2 or 3 times as long to complete. the good news is that the writing process becomes more efficient with time as you build a base of pre-existing, high-quality proposals to work from.
If you already have grant text prepared, things are likely to go even faster.
3. Is there a guarantee that the grant proposal will be awarded?
No. We are not aware of any legitimate grant writing firm that can make and keep such a guarantee. There is always risk involved in pursuing grant funding regardless of previous award success. We are committed to working with you to increase your proposal's chance of success.
4. Can I pay for grant writing services out of the awarded grant funds?
In most cases, the answer to this question is no. There are occasions when grants are available to cover the charges of a grant writer however, these occurrences do not happen often. They are the exception, not the rule.
